Tijuana, Mexico is just a few hours drive from LA and have gone there a few times when I was living back in California. The locals in Tijuana like this young cat love posing it up for pictures. Love the shirt as we're currently living in "The Year of the Dragon." Wish I had gotten his name when I snapped his photo.
Nothing Like a Beautiful Morning on Set
Yup, that's the beautiful Mount Fuji far off in the distance.

Travel Now or Never
I came across a great post by writer Jeff Goins, on 3 reasons to travel while you're young. It's 100% on point and you should take every word for it to heart.
What's funny is I sort of used to be one of those "yea, but..." kind of person about traveling and I'm glad I opened my eyes a bit wider to realize what the big deal is about getting out there to see the world.
It was not until the beginning of 2011 when I started to hop on the plane more frequently than in the previous years and it's completely changed my views on life and the work that I do. Despite the March 11th tragedy in Tohoku, 2011 was a good year for me since my entire time in Tokyo.
For creatives and businessmen/women, I think it's particularly important to stay away from routine as much as possible and to get out there, make friends with those people in different countries, absorb the culture, dine where the locals eat, walk down a sketchy-looking street or bungee jump from the Macau Tower. Basically try new things and you'll begin to see that the opportunity window just got bigger.
Remember to think globally, not locally and the opportunities you will come across are endless.

Hot Stuff with Yuki Shoji
Switching gears for a day to shoot some fun fashion with Yuki Shoji. All styling, hair and makeup done by H. Miyazaki whom I usually work with on 90% of the fashion shoots that come this way. We've been working together since 2006 and he's good at what he does. No drama, no BS. The key to making any photoshoot that requires more than one man successful and fun is good staff. Watch any big hit Hollywood movie and look how many people are involved in the entire production at the end credits...it's in the 100's I'd say. I'll talk more about the importance of working with good people in another post because it's important for not just creatives, but any type of business. Enjoy the pics.
