Pinkish sky, bright lights, lots of people, cars...this is Ginza.
Trekking Through Macau's Backstreets
As a full-time photographer making 100% of my living involving pictures of all sorts, whether it's shooting, directing, producing, editing, etc., finding inspiration to shoot for fun can be challenging at times especially when you're busy dealing with all the business aspects of a working freelance photographer. When I travel though, I try to find some time for myself to wander around aimlessly with my camera on the shoulder and remind myself of that no pressure inspirational feeling of when I was still that aspiring photographer wanting to "make it" in this world. As challenging as things are in the world today, for me to travel frequently and to still go out and shoot for fun when my time allows it, then share it with the world, is a sweet reminder of why I became a photographer in the first place.
Mt. Fuji in Golden Light
Every once in a while I get lucky enough to be able to capture a shot like this... One of those unplanned moments that I happened to be at the right place and at the right time with my camera.

Before Asking Creatives to Work for Free
As creatives in this world, whether you're a writer, painter, photographer, videographer, journalist, graffiti artist, we've all come across those companies asking to work for...nothing. Let Harlan Ellison educate some of those companies out there.
Selling off the Bags
I own a lot of camera bags as most photographers out there do. DIfferent bags for different situations. Just after I thought I've got the perfect bag, something else much more attractive comes out in the market. It never ends.
Here's what I have in my line-up of camera bags before selling some of these off the other day:
- Think Tank Airport AirStream Rolling Camera Bag
- Think Tank Airport Security V2.0 Rolling Camera Bag
- Think Tank Airport Commuter Camera Backpack
- Think Tank StreetWalker HardDrive Camera Backpack
- Think Tank Shape Shifter Camera Backpack (I'm on my second one)
- Think Tank Urban Disguise 50 V2.0 Shoulder Bag
- Domke J-1 Shoulder Bag
- Domke F2 Shoulder Bag
I love Think Tank as you can tell, and Domke too. Both brands are superior in quality and will at last a couple years of hard use...some may even last a lifetime depending on how well you take care of the bag. Deciding which of them to sell off was a hard choice but in the end I decided to let go of the Airport Commuter backpack, Urban Disguise 50 shoulder bag, and the Domke J-1 as you can see above in the picture taken with my crappy smartphone.

Toyo Ito Portrait in Post Magazine
Hong Kong-based writer Katie Whitehead flew into Tokyo to interview Pritzker Architecture Prize winner, Toyo Ito, at his office while I made a couple shots of him in a limited amount of time we had with him. This is how the story ran for Post Magazine.
