I know some of you people have wondering where I’ve been and the simplest answer to that is I have been living life!
There has never been a better time than face-to-face conversations with people and lunches/dinners with close ones with my phone remained in the pocket. My mind has become much more clearer and I could actually get more stuff done away from all that social media noise because that’s what social media has become really. Just noise. Noise about every company and everyone’s perfect life. And Facebook has become the new type of friendly spam for friends!
I wanted to see what would happen if I slowly trickle away from checking/posting on the Twitters, Facebooks and all of that stuff. Heck, I don’t even have an Instagram account either! I get people telling me all the time, “you should sign up for Instagram, Chris. It will get you a lot more exposure since you’re a photographer.” While that may all be true, I don’t want to worry about managing another social media tool. I’ve got enough things to do and have great clients that I love pouring my heart and soul into doing great work for them.
Work has still been taking me all around within Japan and out of the country, bills are paid, family is happy and the camera is still in my hands.
So the question all of you may be wondering is will I be leaving social media completely?
The answer is no. But I’ll be limiting the time spent on it as I’ve got something cooking up for 2016 that I am still working on. I’ll only post when I feel I have something to say. But there may be some rare occasions where I just might post something totally random like an awesome meal I just had somewhere in Asia or California.
